Rabbit polyclonal antibody to ompF also known as porin ompF, levels of ompF protein decreases in an ion/ygcE double disruption. It is found in the outer membrane of the cell and ion channel complex. This protein forms pores that allow passive diffusion of small molecules across the outer membrane. It is also a receptor for the bacteriophage T2. It is also involved in the disordered domain specific binding and porin activity. Various other important aspects in which it is involved are drug transmembrane transport and protein homotrimerization.
